Notes
The "stunt" I was enamored of when rebuilding this deck was Netherworld
Return + Ghost Assassin = guaranteed good results. It turns out in the
tournament that I never quite got everything to fall into place for that,
but the Netherworld Returns proved useful enough in stopping attacks for
the win all on their own. This deck is an evolution/revamp of a slightly
earlier "Fire" deck in which I learned how much fun it is to have the Fire
King and his Evil Twin. In play, the deck is pretty straightforward - drop
big thugs, protect them for a little while with Brain Fires, and recycle
them in the late game with the NR/GA combo.
Most Valuable Player: Darkness Priestess - I never thought I'd be happy
to have someone Twin my Darkness Queen... until it happened when I had
2 Darkness Priestesses out - Power-A-Plenty! They also generated power
off of the Displaced and Smart Missiles. All-in-all, MVP for the evening.
