This was my first really successful self-designed deck. The first deck, believe it or not, was even more event/state heavy than this one, with lots more Disintegrator Rays, etc. DNA Mages are the backbone of this one; you need the magic and tech. A fun combo I like to use is Arcanowave Researcher and Attack Helicopter; the 'copter keeps her safe and allows you to irritate your opponents freely.
Strategy-wise, you want to burn through this deck. Play the events as soon as you get them. In a multi-player game, spread the damage around (OLS, Discerning Fire). Once you get a CHAR out, slap an Attack Helicopter on him and watch the carnage. Desdemona in a 'copter is even better. When they die, Salvage them. You've got plenty of Ambush around, so don't waste it. This is primarily an offensive deck. OLS your own sites if someone's about to take 'em, then put out a Dark Traveler. Pocket Demons should alleviate any power drain you experience.
So the theme of the deck is "Death from Above," so I picked all the nasty flying things the Architects have to offer. OK, so CHAR doesn't have wings, but hey, he looks rocket-propelled! Put him in a 'copter and it won't matter.
